Volunteer with us
Territorio de Origen is a small, independent operation run by a tight team with big ambitions. We’re not looking for hands to pull weeds — we’re looking for people with real skills who want to apply them somewhere that matters.
If you have a background in marketing, permaculture, business administration, or something else we haven’t thought of yet, and you want to spend a month or more living on a working cacao farm in the mountains of Colombia — read on.
What to Expect
Remote location: We’re two and a half hours from Medellín down a dirt road. This is intentional living in a rural mountain community. Plan accordingly.
Accommodations: Shared accommodation is provided in exchange for 25 hours of work per week.
Work Expectations: 25 hours per week of skilled contribution in your area of expertise. We’re not looking for general labor — we want people who can teach us something and we can teach you what we know in return.
Minimum Stay: One month minimum. This is non-negotiable. It takes time to settle in and actually make an impact.
Food: Meals are not included but can be arranged for $20 USD per day.
Cultural Expectations: We’re a bilingual Spanish-English community. Willingness to engage with both languages is appreciated. We also offer English classes on the farm — if you’re a native speaker, we’d love your help.
